Tom – very interesting piece on women and wealth. I approached our former Toro Marketing Manager about 4 years ago with the idea that women might be making up the bigger portion of the decision makers for irrigation systems in the US and that we might consider more “women friendly” sales and marketing tools for our contractors–given this demographic shift. Not sure to what degree my suggestions were considered but I believe there must be a fundamental shift in the way our industry markets to these new wage earners you cite. Nice article piece.

UN plan for Sustainable Development known as Agenda 21: I catch rain water and store it in a cistern to irrigate my garden–not from processed city water. Will the recent regime’s EO #13575 prohibit storage of water from heaven, will the regime consider my practice as ‘water diversion’? I so, will snow removable be construed illegal as well?

Thanks for the information and perspective.
The opportunity is amazing for use of rainwater. Permeable pavers make a lot of sense for replenishing aquafiers. A hurdle for the use of metal, as opposed to asphalt, roof, on residential housing, is that a metal roof can cost 3x the price of an asphalt roof. Any ways for reducing the cost?
Please note that a spacing error exists in the attached slides “How Much Do We Use?” and “What is the problem. There were no problems during the actual presentation.
[…] The City of Lenexa, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City, embarked on a green infrastructure project that turned rainwater from a disposal problem into an appealing recreation project. This innovative approach incorporated step pools to increase the oxygen level in stormwater and a constructed wetland to increase the infiltration rate of the soil. Tom
I would love to be able to attend your seminar, but as I’m based in Ireland there is very little chance of that happening.
Is there any chance you would be able to provide copy of your presentation to us over here please.
Thanks
Tony

Congratulations! Sounds like an important venue at which to speak and how nice that you were chosen.
I haven’t seen you since May and I wondered how the meeting went with the man from Keep Indianapolis Beautiful? Has it sparked further business leads?
